NVIDIA just released its Q2 fiscal report, showing $96.2 billion in revenue, up 106% year-over-year.
Out of that, the data center segment brought in $89 billion, a 117% increase year-over-year, now accounting for over 92% of total revenue.
Profitability: $96.2 billion in revenue, GAAP net profit of $59.7 billion, with a net margin hitting an insane 62%. Oh, and they casually threw in $26 billion for stock buybacks + dividends in just one quarter.
But the most important part of the entire earnings report? Jensen Huang’s one-liner:
**“Compute is now revenue.”**
Around this time last year, AI infrastructure expansion was mostly driven by a few top-tier labs burning cash. Now, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google, and other cutting-edge labs are scaling simultaneously, with a wave of new AI startups, open-source models, and robotics companies following close behind.
NVIDIA isn’t just selling GPUs anymore—they’re essentially collecting a “compute tax” on the entire AI token generation process.
So, the craziest number is actually in the next quarter: NVIDIA is projecting $108 billion in revenue, and they explicitly stated—this forecast doesn’t include **any** revenue from China’s data center compute market.
Whether AI is a bubble or not is still up for debate, but one thing’s clear: the guy selling shovels is already making $60 billion a quarter.
