Are there any AI-related investment targets in the country? | Q&A

AI summarizes in 5 seconds.

- Can we talk about XX projects again? It has been a long time since we discussed them.

Readers often leave comments asking me about some past projects I have shared, the most typical being Magic, Matic (Poly), and AR, which I have invested in.

Among these projects, I last mentioned Poly when I shared that I had exchanged part of it for ARB and OP, while keeping a little. As for Magic and AR, I still hold onto them.

In fact, I still retain most of the projects I once had as long as I haven't discovered any significant issues with them (especially team-related issues).

The main reason for this is that as long as they are still making efforts, I hold onto a glimmer of hope for them. Additionally, looking around the entire crypto ecosystem now, I don't see anything particularly appealing to buy, so I haven't thought about selling them for something else.

Since the beginning of this year, aside from buying a bit of Ethereum during the significant drop from early to mid-year, I haven't seriously bought anything new because I really haven't found many new projects that I am particularly optimistic about.

- About the XX projects in the Virtual ecosystem.

Projects in the Virtual ecosystem are also frequently asked about in reader comments. There are many projects that I am not familiar with, making it difficult for me to share my views.

I have shared in my articles that even when Genesis Launches was still around, I did not participate in many popular projects.

What I value is not some of the popular projects within it, but the entire ecosystem built around ACP and the potential that the ecosystem's explosion might bring. As for which specific subcategories of projects in this ecosystem will rise, there are too many random factors involved, making it hard for me to judge.

I remember a long time ago, people were optimistic about the so-called VC Agents in the ecosystem, then they shifted to trading-type Agents, and later to some borderline field Agents, and recently, there has been a sudden rise in payment Agents related to X402…

I estimate that not many people could have predicted these shifts and rises in popular types. However, one trend can be observed: as long as this ecosystem is still being built and new teams continuously release their Agents, it is very likely that when new popular Agents emerge, the Virtual ecosystem will benefit.

So I say if you are optimistic about this ecosystem, then aim for Virtual. Although its returns may not be astonishing, it is the simplest and least risky method. As for individual Agent projects, if you can bear the risk, then it purely depends on personal interest, hobbies, and judgment for casual operations.

- Have any good AI-related companies suitable for investment been found domestically?

AI-related companies can be viewed broadly or narrowly.

If we speak broadly about AI-related companies, it involves going through the entire industry chain from top to bottom. From the most fundamental materials, energy, and semiconductors to chips, and then to various AI applications downstream. There are many articles online analyzing the industry chain; you can find a field you like and are familiar with to study.

Personally, I pay more attention to the energy-related fields and how some internet companies utilize AI.

If viewed narrowly, it refers to the chip industry. In this regard, the few listed chip companies in China can be counted, such as "China's Nvidia" or "China's XXX."

When looking at these companies, I still try to estimate their future cash flows. At the very least, I will compare them with Nvidia.

No matter how big the bubble around Nvidia is, its revenue and cash flow can withstand scrutiny, but I cannot judge the future revenue and cash flow of those domestic chip companies, so I do not understand them or their value.
