If $BNB is held for the long term, is there a better way to generate profits?

Although the current market situation is not good, I believe that like me, there are many who are optimistic about $BNB for the long term and will persist in holding it, and they have probably thought about this issue.

So recently I have been focusing on one direction: the yield layer of BNB.

One typical project in this area is: Sigma @sigmadotmoney.

It actually involves doing one thing: turning the act of "holding BNB" into a set of strategies that allow individuals to choose their own risk and amplify their returns.

In the past, holding BNB was essentially just waiting for it to rise, investing, mining, doing LP, or opening perp, but these methods have a common problem:

Either the returns are unstable, or over the long term, time itself is a cost.

Sigma's approach adds a layer of structure to BNB, combines it with low-cost leverage, and uses a rebalancing mechanism to control risks and transform BNB into a yield-generating base that can be reused.

My understanding is that its approach is essentially targeted at two types of people:

One type is those who hold BNB long-term and hope for an additional source of income, and the other type is those who want to go long/short on BNB but do not want to be dragged down by funding fees.

Some of its current designs strike me as quite interesting:

For example, a maximum of 7x spot leverage, but without continuous funding fees,

And using a rebalancing mechanism to replace traditional "forced liquidation", reducing losses during extreme market conditions.

In other words, through these designs, leverage can be transformed from a short-term tool into a structure that can be used for the medium to long term.

The project has been live on Binance Alpha for some time now and is also one of the projects that emerged from BNB Chain MVB10,

But personally, I am more concerned about a longer-term question:

If $BNB experiences the next market cycle, will this kind of protocol that "turns BNB into a yield structure" become standard?

If so, could this layer potentially become a crucial infrastructure within the BNB ecosystem?
