To add more color to the Foundation establishment proposal

- Foundation is non-profit, it does not have employees and it does not have ownership. It operates through custodians and directors who are responsible for maintaining and administering it in line with its stated purpose.

- Foundation is a purpose-built, non-profit legal entity (Cayman Islands) whose sole purpose is to hold and steward the Fluid Protocol’s intellectual property on behalf of the DAO.

- Foundation itself does not need any budget from the DAO. The grants from the DAO are used for payments to the development companies maintaining Fluid protocol.

- Basically, Foundation acts as a legal wrapper that can now have the ownership of the protocol on behalf of the DAO.

My personal engagement and involvement in Fluid does not change, my director role at the Foundation is a legal formality that does not entitle me to any additional benefits or power.

Also, regarding allegations that this is done because of Aave governance drama - this is not true. We’ve been actively working on setting up the foundation for the past 6 months - much earlier than things escalated at Aave.
