I also feel like the current situation is a bit similar to that wave back in October 2023, Bitcoin.
But back then, there was an epic bullish catalyst: the spot ETF. This time, it might take favorable macro conditions + smooth progress on crypto legislation to help trigger a reversal. At least for now, the probability of that doesn’t seem high.
As Fengxiong mentioned about shorting, this wave of volume doesn’t feel like it’s over yet. Could it really end at 795? Shouldn’t it at least test 80-82? Shorting at that point wouldn’t be too late, right? Or maybe open a short position near the 8k range, and if it stabilizes above 82-83, just stop out. If it doesn’t, then add to the position.
So around 76-77, I’m kind of tempted to go long, but I just observed for a bit and didn’t act in time.
It might be like that time in early May this year, where it oscillated between 785-82 (83), with back-and-forth handovers, before choosing a direction.
This is my current projection of the possible trend based on my charting. I’m leaning toward it making another push to test the 8k range.
Then, depending on the end-of-month PCE data, NVIDIA’s earnings report, and oil price trends, we’ll see where it goes. Especially oil prices, as they affect inflation expectations and, in turn, interest rate changes.
Anyway, just adjust operations in real-time based on the macro situation.
