[US Media: Oil Prices Gradually Ignoring Trump's Posts]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on August 21, an analysis by Axios revealed that oil prices are gradually becoming less reactive to Trump's social media posts about the Iran war. Oil analyst Ben Cahill stated that during the initial weeks of the war, there was an "information vacuum" and significant uncertainty about U.S. policies and objectives. The market "overreacted" to a large number of posts. "For months, the market has been ignoring posts on social media because they simply do not reflect reality," he said. Many of Trump's statements about the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, policies, and war objectives have "zero correlation" with the actual shipping volume through the strait. Cahill added, "In the first few months, I think the White House was quite successful in controlling the narrative and suppressing oil prices. But that is no longer effective now." (Jin10)
