[RBC: Japanese Inflation Data Supports BOJ Rate Hike Expectations in September]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on August 21, Abbas Keshvani, Head of Asia Macro Strategy at Royal Bank of Canada, stated that Japan's inflation data supports the Bank of Japan raising interest rates in September. He further noted, 'The BOJ's stance on inflation during its July meeting was also more hawkish, and the market currently expects the BOJ to accelerate its rate hike pace, with a 20 basis point hike in September.' He added, 'The BOJ is aware that disappointing the market could lead to further weakening of the yen.' (Jin10)
