Even Chinese oil tankers are starting to avoid Hormuz, blocking the oil transportation that is currently blocking the entire Asia Reuters reported today that China COSCO Shipping and China Merchants Shipping, two large state-owned shipping companies, have been trying their best to avoid allowing their oil tankers to enter the Strait of Hormuz and the Strait of Mandeb since the end of July. The current method is to place large oil tankers outside the Persian Gulf, receive oil near Fujairah and the Gulf of Oman in the United Arab Emirates, and then transport the crude oil to China through ship to ship transfer. The large amount of crude oil imported by China from the Middle East still comes from ports in Iraq, Kuwait, eastern Saudi Arabia, and the Persian Gulf. Unless these crude oils can be directly transported to Fujairah, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Oman through onshore pipelines, ships must first transport the crude oil from the Persian Gulf. Moreover, adding one ship to ship transfer will increase one loading and unloading, one scheduling, and a waiting time, and insurance, charter, and transportation costs will continue to rise. Even if Chinese ships themselves reduce risks, the ultimately increased costs will still be reflected in the prices of Chinese imported crude oil. That's also why the issue with Hormuz is difficult to solve by changing ships or transportation methods. China is already the world's largest importer of crude oil, and has deep energy relations with Iran and the entire Middle East. Now even China's own large state-owned shipping companies are starting to leave oil tankers outside the Gulf, indicating that if Hormuz is unable to navigate normally, it will not only affect the United States and Europe. As long as the Persian Gulf continues to bear a large amount of crude oil exports, the blockade of Hormuz will ultimately affect the entire Asian energy supply chain. @Gate Crypto、 US stocks, Hong Kong stocks, South Korean stocks, gold CFD、 Predicting one-stop trading in the market
