[NYSE Parent Company ICE Launches Bond Issuance to Finance $6 Billion Acquisition of MarketAxess]
According to Bloomberg, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, has initiated the issuance of U.S. investment-grade bonds to finance its approximately $6 billion acquisition of the electronic bond trading platform MarketAxess. This issuance may be divided into up to five tranches, with maturities ranging from 3 to 10 years. The preliminary pricing guidance for the longest-term bonds is approximately 115 basis points above the yield of U.S. Treasury bonds of the same maturity. ICE had previously signed a bridge financing commitment letter with Bank of America for up to $6.25 billion. Institutions such as Bank of America, Citigroup, Mitsubishi UFJ, and Wells Fargo are underwriting this bond issuance.
