[South Korean Retail Investors Bought $4.6 Billion in U.S. Stocks in July, Up 627% Month-on-Month] The Kobeissi Letter reported that South Korean retail investors purchased $4.6 billion worth of U.S. stocks in July, a 627% month-on-month increase, marking the highest monthly purchase amount since January 2026. In contrast, the net sell-off amounts in April and May were $469 million and $940 million, respectively. Additionally, the purchase volume in July was significantly higher than the 2025 monthly average of $2.7 billion. In 2025, the amount South Korean retail investors spent on U.S. stocks more than tripled compared to 2024. As a result, the amount South Korean retail investors spent on U.S. stocks last month surpassed their domestic stock purchases for the first time since February.
