What determines the next BTC trend might no longer just be the crypto space. Staring at on-chain data, whale addresses, and liquidation amounts every day—sure, these metrics are important. But after going through several bull and bear cycles, you’ll realize that what truly shifts the trend is often the capital outside the market. That’s why I’ve been urging everyone to keep an eye on the U.S. stock market lately. Big money doesn’t look at crypto in isolation. If AI is strong, they’ll keep buying AI. If the dollar weakens and interest rates drop, only then will funds increase their allocation to risk assets. BTC is just one part of global asset allocation. Recently, even though the U.S. stock market has shown some divergence, capital is still rotating around companies with real competitiveness. Microsoft and Amazon are continuing to ramp up AI capital expenditures. Storage leaders like Micron, MAmericaK, and SK Hynix are also being repriced amid high volatility. The same stratification is happening within crypto. BTC is increasingly resembling digital gold. ETH is taking on more on-chain financial functions. Solana is stepping up for RWA, stablecoins, and on-chain securities trading. But many altcoins are still repeating the same old cycle of storytelling, pumping, and dumping from the last round. This explains one phenomenon: the overall market hasn’t dropped much, yet many people’s portfolios keep shrinking. It’s not that the market lacks opportunities—it’s that capital is becoming more selective about assets. Going forward, what’s more important than guessing the bottom is understanding two things: What capital is leaving, and what it’s buying. What the market truly needs to grasp is the flow of capital and shifts in industries. What bull and bear cycles teach us isn’t just about finding a specific bottom. More importantly, it’s about not standing against global capital for the long term.
