According to Decrypt, Seoul police reported that a phishing website impersonating Flare Network staking, which operated for 8 days last October, scammed 71 investors out of 3.4 million XRP, worth 12.3 billion KRW (approximately $8.5 million). The fraud group posed as Flare Network and its FXRP token by faking Wikipedia entries, blog posts, and YouTube videos. Investigators tracked 27.3 billion KRW (approximately $18.8 million) linked to the group’s wallets and froze 17.3 billion KRW.
