[Gemini Launches Global Voice Input for Mac: Edit by Speaking Directly] According to monitoring by Beating, Google has launched global voice input for Gemini on macOS. Users can press and hold the Fn key in any app to start speaking, and the transcribed result will be directly inserted at the current cursor position. Gemini automatically removes filler words like 'um' and 'ah,' recognizes mid-sentence corrections, and organizes the content into paragraphs or lists. With optional screen inference enabled, Gemini can also read selected text, files, images, and documents. Users can directly use voice commands to rewrite content, adjust tone, extract summaries, or generate and modify images, with the results written back into the current app. The new feature is being gradually rolled out globally and is available to all Gemini Mac users, initially supporting English only.
