It's a still a hell of a long shot still, but South Carolina becomes more interesting for Dems.
Dems already have @AnnieAndrewsMD on the ballot.
It's a crowded ballot with a lot of independents - and now a lack of entrenched name recognition.
Republicans will spend the next two months trashing each other in a new primary.
I think the likely result though is that Rep Joe Wilson will end up being appointed by the Governor on special term and end up the ballot front runner.
Wilson is a far-right Republican who is an election denier, former Tea Party member, and vocal Trump ally.
While South Carolina is still 'strong republican lean' in this specific environment, putting up a strong far-right Tea Party Trump Ally could result in some moderates staying home or flipping votes.
Graham was only leading by +3 to +5 in recent polls against Andrews, so every little bit of disruption, infighting, and voter apathy could help close that gap if she has sufficient funding to get her name out there.
One to watch!(Adam Cochran (adamscochran.eth))
