Recently finished watching "2028 Global Intelligent Crisis" and a documentary about AI titled "THE AI DOC: OR HOW I BECAME AN APOCALOPTIMIST," I have many thoughts. In the context of recognizing reality, how can we become a doomsday optimist? 🧐

In fact, there is no need to be overly pessimistic. Throughout history, each revolutionary technological change has not led to increased unemployment or economic collapse; instead, they have created more new job categories, with resident incomes growing and the economy becoming more prosperous. This was true during the Steam Age and the Electrification Era as well!

Most people have already seen "2028 Global Intelligent Crisis," so let me talk about this AI documentary. It delves deeper into whether humanity is ready to face the "new species" it has created. This film comes from an Oscar-winning team (creators behind Everything Everywhere All at Once and Navalny), and this time, they focus their lens on artificial intelligence.

A soon-to-be father, in an era of crazy AI iterations, capital frenzy, and uncontrolled narratives, attempts to answer a very simple yet cruel question: "Is now a bad time to have children?" AI is the most powerful technological tool in human history. It can solve the climate crisis, drive medical breakthroughs, and expand the boundaries of human capabilities. Yet, it may be deployed prematurely before we are fully mature.

This is a handcrafted documentary. There are no grand technological displays, but it is very sharp.

It does not ask: "How powerful will AI become?"

But rather: "What price will humanity pay if we get it wrong?"

For me personally, I am an advocate of technology. AI has deeply participated in my creation and expression. However, my attitude is always to embrace it critically.

Because all rapidly developing technologies have strong dualities. The question has never been "What can it do?" But rather: How do we develop it? Who is leading it? Is ethics keeping up? Is humanity being seriously discussed?

Now, too many people are rushing in blindly. Capital is seizing the high ground. Narratives are packaged as "the next Internet era." Everyone is afraid of missing out. But what is truly concerning is that many do not even know what they are really creating.

When competition turns into acceleration. When fear becomes a driving force. When "winning" becomes the only goal. Are we really thinking about direction?

In this era where everyone is creating with AI, feeling anxious, and competing, perhaps what we need more is calmness and maturity. If you care about creation, the future, children, civilization, and the universe, this film will not give you simple answers. But it will force you to rethink: "What is hope, really?" Sometimes true optimism is not blindly believing that the future will be better, but choosing to take responsibility after seeing the risks clearly. A documentary worth watching! 🧐
