[Citi: Japan's 30-Year Government Bond Yield Expected to Remain Range-Bound] Jin10 News, November 10 – Tomohisa Fujiki of Citi Investment Research stated in a report that the composite yield on Japan's 30-year government bonds is likely to remain in the range of 3% to 3.2% for the foreseeable future. The strategist noted: 'We believe that regardless of the budget size, a reduction in issuance volume will provide support for super-long-term bonds.' Citi expects the issuance size of 20-year and 30-year Japanese government bonds to decrease by ¥100 billion per auction and anticipates a slowdown in the issuance pace of 40-year Japanese government bonds next year. He added that the market may continue to be influenced by U.S. developments, but as the contraction in GDP for July-September is confirmed, market pricing for a December rate hike by the Bank of Japan should weaken. According to Tradeweb data, the yield on 30-year Japanese government bonds rose by 0.3 basis points to 3.136%.
