[AI Security Startup AIR Secures $50 Million in Funding, Led by Sequoia and Greenoaks] According to TechCrunch, AI security startup AIR has raised $50 million in funding, with Sequoia Capital leading the first $10 million round and Greenoaks leading the second $40 million round. Swish, Netz, and several angel investors also participated. The company was founded by Israeli Unit 8200 veterans Yair Saban and Niv Hoffman and offers an AI agent security platform. The platform can identify AI agents operating within enterprises, continuously review the skills and tools they use, block interactions with non-compliant software or external sources, and provide a curated marketplace for AI agent plugins and skills.
