There are currently 4 pairs on TradeXYZ where growth mode isn't activated (GOLD, MSTR, STRC and PURRDAT). Since growth mode reduces HIP3 fees by 90%, these 4 pairs generates an estimated 29% of revenue while only accounting for 3.9% of total volume YTD. With the continuous fee-scale for HIP3 markets now live on mainnet, TradeXYZ and other deployers can increase fees gradually instead of the binary on/off for growth mode. With new competitors like Entropy emerging, which also has growth mode activated, it might be a while before fees are increased on additional HIP-3 pairs in order to stay competitive.(Thor)
