August 31: Spot ETF total holdings rebounded to 1,260,600.84 BTC, with a net increase of 2,599.33 BTC on the day. On August 28, there was just a net decrease of 2,574.16 BTC, but the next trading day turned positive again, basically recovering all the holdings lost the previous day. So far, there’s no sign of continuous outflows from BTC ETFs.
Over the past 7 trading days, there’s still a cumulative net increase of 18,341.72 BTC, and since August, holdings have increased by 47,887.23 BTC, a growth of 3.95%, indicating that the recent month’s replenishment trend is still ongoing.
What BTC needs to be watched now is whether this rebound can sustain continuous inflows. Looking at a longer timeframe, total holdings have still decreased by 37,366.10 BTC since 2026, a drop of 2.88%. So, August’s increase is more about recovering previously lost holdings.
If net inflows continue in the coming days, BTC ETF’s capital flow might gradually shift from “replenishment” to genuine expansion. However, if it quickly turns negative again, this recent improvement in funds can only be seen as a temporary correction.
