This is insane price action.
bitcoin:native dumped to $76,800 over the weekend, recovered to $79,400 and then dumped again to $77,700 liquidating $1.15B.
But here’s the important part:
On Friday, I said the failure to hold $80,000 had weakened the short-term Bullish structure and that the much larger liquidity sitting between $75,000 - $78,500 was becoming the bigger risk.
That downside move has now played out almost perfectly.
However, both the weekly and monthly closes for Bitcoin still finished well above the major $74,000 breakout area which means the HTF breakout itself is still intact.
Bitcoin now has roughly $3B liquidity below between $74,500 - $77,500 and $3B above between $79,000 - $82,000. This means HTF liquidity is now perfectly balanced once again.
On the LTF, the clearest liquidity zones sit around $77,000 - $77,700 below and $79,100 - $79,900 above, making it likely we sweep both levels today.
Whales have also stacked large bids throughout $74,500 - $77,500, while heavy sell walls remain between $80,000-$83,000. This means smart money are equally positioned on both sides.
Meanwhile, OI has started building again, futures traders are buying, spot demand has recovered from the weekend lows, but Coinbase Premium remains heavily negative. This means leverage is returning faster than strong spot demand, which isn't a great sign currently.
So to make things simple for you:
- $75,000 - $78,500 downside risk from Friday played out
- Weekly + monthly closes kept the HTF breakout intact
- $77,700 and $79,100 are the two LTF zones
- HTF liquidity is now almost perfectly balanced
- Reclaim $80,000 and Bulls regain control; lose $77,000 and a sweep lower is likely
