On August 28, bitcoin:native spot ETF total holdings dropped to 1,258,001.58 BTC, with a net reduction of 2,574.16 BTC for the day, ending the previous 9 consecutive days of net inflows.
However, looking at a slightly longer time frame, it’s still too early to call this a trend reversal. This week has still seen a cumulative net increase of 11,993.45 BTC, with the last 7 days showing a total net increase of 24,686.62 BTC. Since the start of August, holdings have increased by 45,287.98 BTC, a growth of 3.73%.
What BTC needs to watch closely now is the next few trading days. If we see consecutive reductions across multiple products, this recent round of accumulation might truly start to cool off. But if it quickly turns positive again, then August 28 is more likely just normal fund fluctuations after a continuous rise.
