[South Korea's KOSPI Index Turns Positive at Close, Local Broker Reports Pension Fund Buying]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on August 31, South Korea's KOSPI Index turned positive at the close, rising 0.15% after previously dropping as much as 3.6%. Roy Lim, an equity sales trader at Samsung Securities, stated that pension funds were noticeably buying KOSPI stocks during the closing session, primarily focusing on tech stocks. Lim noted that pension funds made a net purchase of approximately 120 billion KRW worth of stocks within 20 minutes. (Jin10)
