Recently came across a pretty early project on Zcash. I’ve already tried it myself and feel like this is one of those things where you can just casually claim a spot. @zec_bit Basically, it’s the first NFT project on Zcash built around ZSA. We’ve all seen plenty of NFTs, but I think the angle ZecBit is taking is pretty interesting. What’s a traditional NFT? As long as you know someone’s wallet address, you can pretty much dig up what they’ve bought, what they hold, and when they bought it. What ZecBit wants to do is flip that logic. The works and assets can be public, but who owns them can remain private. This actually aligns really well with Zcash’s vibe Right now, they’ve opened up Genesis for free minting, 0% royalties, and no gas wars. The reason I’m willing to spend a few minutes on this project is simple: it’s free. You can go to their website now, complete tasks to get on the whitelist. Once there are enough people, they’ll do a public raffle. No speed contests, no paid whitelist nonsense. All you need is a X (Twitter) account and a Zcash shielded address starting with u1. ⚠️ Heads up: Don’t use a ZEC address from an exchange. ZecBit requires a Zcash Shielded Address starting with u1. Regular t1 addresses won’t work. Once you’ve got your u1 address, just fill it in on their website, then complete tasks like follow, like, quote, and reply. These days, I’ve simplified how I look at early projects. I used to focus on whether something could 100x. Now I just ask: How much does it cost? How much time does it take? Is it worth doing casually? For something like ZecBit, it’s free, the tasks aren’t complicated, and it’s happening right at the start of Zcash’s ZSA phase. So I think there’s no need to overthink it.
