[Ondo Finance Appoints Former GFMA Executive Allison Parent as Chief Policy Officer]
According to Deep Tide TechFlow on August 30, as reported by Crowdfund Insider, Ondo Finance has appointed Allison Parent as Chief Policy Officer. She will be responsible for engaging with policymakers and regulators to advance regulations and industry standards related to tokenized assets. Parent previously served as Executive Director at the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA) for nearly 10 years. She has also held roles as Global Head of Policy and Strategy at Barclays, Senior Policy Advisor and Market Legal Counsel at the Bank of England, and General Counsel for the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, where she contributed to significant post-financial crisis legislation such as the Dodd-Frank Act.
This appointment comes as Ondo expands its tokenized asset business. Its tokenized stock products have surpassed $1 billion in TVL in less than eight months. The company has received authorization from the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority to operate within the EU and European Economic Area and has obtained FINRA-related licenses through its SEC-registered broker-dealer, Oasis Pro Markets. Currently, Ondo's on-chain products cover assets such as stocks, ETFs, ADRs, and U.S. short-term Treasury bonds.
