Trump just announced the biggest oil deal in world history, 65 billion barrels of Venezuelan oil, majority US control, zero cost to taxpayers. The headline writes itself. Small print though: Venezuelan crude is heavy, sour, high sulfur, and expensive to refine. Only a handful of Gulf Coast refineries are even built for it. So the part where gas prices drop dramatically for all Americans? That one needs a bit more time in the refinery too.(Lark Davis)
