According to Wu Blockchain, as per CoinShares' market report on August 27, global digital asset investment products saw a net inflow of approximately $1.65 billion in the first three trading days of this week. This follows a net inflow of $2.94 billion last week, marking the largest single-week inflow so far this year. Bitcoin and Ethereum saw inflows of about $976 million and $478 million this week, respectively. The total assets under management (AUM) for global crypto ETPs have risen to approximately $155 billion, with year-to-date net inflows reaching around $3.4 billion.
CoinShares believes that persistent U.S. inflation and weakening demand have put the Federal Reserve in a dilemma. Additionally, the Treasury's buyback of government bonds and shortening of issuance maturities could further increase inflationary pressure. Their mining report notes that the queued grid capacity for U.S. data centers is around 2,060 GW, with an average grid connection time for new projects nearing five years. Bitcoin mining companies with existing power infrastructure are therefore benefiting, and the proportion of AI-related revenue is expected to rise from about 30% to around 70% by the end of the year.
