This might be the coolest open-source project on GitHub this week — a real-time global intelligence console. The planes, military aircraft, ships, satellites, earthquakes, public cameras you see — most of it comes from real, publicly available data. The source code was officially released on August 24, and in just 4 days, it’s already hit 9800+ Stars. It’s called God’s Eye View, essentially a real-time global intelligence console that anyone can run. This project puts everything onto a 3D globe. Click on a plane in flight, and the camera locks onto the target. You can follow it as it flies, even switch to a cockpit view to see its trajectory, speed, altitude, and nearby targets within a 250-kilometer radius. Military aircraft detectable via public ADS-B data are also specially marked. You can even switch to night vision, thermal imaging, or tactical HUD modes, making the whole interface feel like you’re sitting in an intelligence center. When you connect an OpenAI Key, you can literally talk to the globe: Take me to Tokyo. What planes over Texas are flying above 40,000 feet? Which ships are heading to Oakland? Track this plane and enter cockpit view. It reads your current location, layers, and target data, then operates the map, queries, tracks, and plots routes all on its own. There are already 28 voice tools integrated behind the scenes. Even around 800 public cameras have been embedded into the 3D cities. After tracking a ship or a fire point, you can directly locate nearby public cameras and continue zooming in from the satellite view to the ground. I think the smartest part of this project is how it turns “intelligence gathering” from browsing a dozen websites into directly tracing clues on a globe.
