Meta has agreed to settle the lawsuit from 47 states about the addictive design of Facebook and Instagram. The terms include new 2 hour time limits, restricted access from midnight to 6 am and during school hours from 8 am to 3 pm. Now they are calling on TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat to join Meta in adopting these new standards for children online. Parents deserve more tools so they can decide whether they want their kids to download these apps in the first place. We need the App Store Accountability Act.
