[Garrett Jin: BTC Pressured at $80K Supply Zone, Maintain Long Positions in Memory]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on August 28, 'BTC OG Insider Whale' representative Garrett Jin shared market insights, stating that the current major positions still have overall support, but advised beginning to manage concentration risk in holdings.
Regarding Bitcoin, BTC is currently oscillating below the $80K–$82.5K supply zone, which represents the on-chain cost area for a large volume of tokens accumulated before the previous rally. The U.S. spot ETF has seen net inflows for eight consecutive trading days, totaling approximately $2.8 billion, with monthly net inflows for August around $3.3 billion, the strongest this year. The 7-day EMA of on-chain net realized profit and loss is approximately +$752 million, with an overall bullish flow. A healthy price movement is expected to see BTC consolidating within the $72.5K–$84K range. A sustained close above $82.5K would confirm a breakout, while a drop below $76.6K, coupled with deteriorating ETF inflows, Coinbase premiums, and on-chain profit and loss metrics, would signal downside risks.
In the AI sector, the latest data from OpenRouter shows a 47% month-over-month increase in token usage, while expenses only rose by 7%, with the weighted average price dropping by 28%. The growth is primarily concentrated in low-cost models. The B200 rental price saw a slight 1.5% month-over-month decline in August, marking the first drop in six months, warranting continued monitoring.
In the memory sector, SK Hynix has recently outperformed its peers, with long-term agreements covering approximately 50%–70% of shipments. HBM pricing still has upward potential. Maintaining long positions in memory is recommended, with additional positions to be considered after technical confirmation of recovery.
