[SK Hynix CEO Considers Establishing Closer Cooperation with Kioxia] Golden Finance reported on August 28 that SK Hynix (SKHY.O) is considering further deepening its collaboration with Japanese flash memory manufacturer Kioxia. SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-Jung stated that various ways to strengthen cooperation between the two parties are being explored, but regarding the current indirect stake in Kioxia, 'there are no established plans yet.' Currently, SK Hynix indirectly holds a significant portion of Kioxia's equity through an investment vehicle under Bain Capital. According to a prior agreement, without Kioxia's consent, its voting rights cannot exceed 15% before 2028. When asked whether there are plans to further expand investments in the United States, Kwak Noh-Jung did not disclose specific details. Additionally, he revealed that SK Hynix is still evaluating the possibility of listing its U.S. NAND subsidiary Solidigm. Previously, Korean media reported that Solidigm was seeking pre-IPO financing of 5 trillion to 10 trillion Korean won, but SK Hynix stated that no decisions have been made on this matter yet.
