[Google Search Result Links Introduce 'goto' Redirect Parameter to Counter AI Crawlers]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on August 27, Google confirmed it is gradually rolling out the 'goto' redirect parameter in search result links. When users click on a link, they will first pass through an intermediary address with the (google.com)/goto parameter, rather than being directly directed to the target webpage. This mechanism uses server-side redirection to increase the difficulty for automated tools to batch parse and scrape search results, aiming to counter scraping activities by third-party tools and AI companies. Data from the SEO monitoring platform Nozzle shows that this change has achieved nearly 100% coverage across multiple residential IP service environments.
