[Analyst: Market Rate Hike Expectations May Slightly Heat Up Before September Fed Meeting]
BlockBeats News, August 27, Reto Cueni, Chief Economist at Stifel Group, stated in a report that the market might slightly raise its expectations for a rate hike at the Federal Reserve's September meeting. However, he noted that the majority of the market may still anticipate that the Fed will not raise rates, and Stifel Group itself currently does not believe a rate hike will occur. Cueni said: 'At present, we still maintain our judgment that the Fed will not further raise rates in the second half of this year.' According to LSEG data, the probability of the Federal Reserve keeping rates unchanged at the September meeting is currently 65%.
