[Institution: AI Infrastructure Will Continue to Support Singapore's Electronics Industry]
BlockBeats News, August 27, economists from Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank) stated that despite the growth rate of Singapore's electronics industry slowing to an 11-month low, the sector will still benefit from the development of global artificial intelligence infrastructure. Singapore's electronics output in July grew by 11.2% year-on-year, lower than June's 21.1%, partly due to a high base in the same period last year. Maybank stated: 'Although the growth rate of electronics output has slowed, we believe the AI boom is unlikely to end anytime soon.' Meanwhile, with the expansion of global chip manufacturing capacity, demand for Singapore's semiconductor equipment remains strong. Maybank pointed out that Singapore holds a significant share of the global semiconductor equipment production market, accounting for approximately 20%.
