Prediction: OpenRouter will be forced to delist Chinese inference providers (not the models). Sending user data to China for processing will not be accepted by the US. (I imagine lots of users might not even be aware they’re doing this today!) This creates an opportunity for a new, non-American (but also non-Chinese) gateway to rise. This new one will have a much wider set of inference providers (incl Chinese), so pricing will be lower. And it’ll be offshore. Almost like a Binance of AI gateways.
