[Mysten Labs Co-Founder Kostas Kryptos Participates in Establishing Crypto Trading Platform Havenex, Series A Funding Near Completion] BlockBeats News, August 27: Sui development team Mysten Labs co-founder Kostas Kryptos announced that Havenex is in the process of completing its Series A funding round. All necessary licenses and some additional license applications have been submitted, and the funding allocation is nearly finalized. Havenex is not positioned to become another Coinbase, Binance, Bybit, or Kraken. Instead, it aims to provide infrastructure for financial institutions, enabling them to offer digital and traditional financial assets to clients while meeting regulatory, custodial, security, and transparency requirements. Havenex plans to support multi-chain architecture, verifiable custody, continuous proof of solvency, default multi-signature, quantum-resistant keys, hardware-based two-factor authentication wallets, as well as self-custody and key loss protection mechanisms. In regions where regulations permit, it will also support privacy assets and RWA (Real-World Assets). The project will leverage Sui technology in appropriate scenarios while integrating assets, bridging protocols, and foundational components from other ecosystems. The concept of Havenex was proposed by Kostas Kryptos, who will participate as an advisor, though Mysten Labs and Sui remain his primary focus. He stated that the project aims to establish transparency and security standards different from those of FTX and Mt. Gox, while also mitigating severe vulnerabilities caused by recent code generated by large language models. [Original Link]
