**[Avalanche Treasury Company AVAT Reports $44.7 Million Loss in Q2, Plans $10 Million Stock Buyback]** Odaily Planet Daily News – Avalanche ecosystem digital asset treasury company Avalanche Treasury Company (NASDAQ: AVAT) has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The company’s board of directors has approved a $10 million Class A common stock buyback program aimed at addressing market undervaluation of the company and enhancing shareholder returns. AVAT CEO Bart Smith stated that the company completed a business merger in Q2 and began trading on Nasdaq on June 11. Despite pressure on the digital asset market, the Avalanche ecosystem continues to show growth momentum, with institutions gradually transitioning from the exploration phase to real-world applications in areas such as stablecoins, asset tokenization, payments, and real-world assets (RWA). Financial data reveals that AVAT posted a net loss of $44.7 million in Q2, with a per-share loss of $1.54. Approximately $35.7 million of the loss stemmed from market value fluctuations in AVAX holdings, including fair value changes, realized losses, and impairment charges. Additionally, $15.2 million was attributed to one-time transaction costs related to the completed business merger, while core management expenses amounted to approximately $3.5 million. As of June 30, 2026, AVAT held approximately 15.3 million AVAX tokens, with the portfolio valued at around $100 million based on end-of-period prices. During Q2, the company generated $1.5 million in net staking income from AVAX, bringing total staking income for the first half of 2026 to $3.6 million. (Businesswire)
