House returns from summer recess next week & will consider the Hershel ‘Woody' Williams National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act, honoring the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from WWII, by authorizing a National Medal of Honor monument to be built near the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall. Senate unanimously passed the bill in March. If approved, it heads to the WH to be signed into law. Williams died in 2022 at 98.(Craig Caplan)
