According to reports from Cailian Press, SpaceX has announced plans to invest $100 billion in southern Louisiana, USA, to construct a massive new launch site covering approximately 125,000 acres. The design goal is to achieve 'thousands of Starship flights per year.' The project is expected to begin construction next year and aims for its first launch in 2029, creating over 3,000 jobs. The Louisiana Economic Development Agency stated that once fully completed, the base will include five launch complexes, propellant production facilities, power plants, spacecraft processing facilities, and employee housing. Elon Musk remarked that the 'Louisiana Starport' will eventually feature 'more than a dozen launch pads,' supporting up to 30 Starship launches per day.
