[SK Hynix's China E-commerce Flagship Store Shuts Down? Behind the Retrenchment of Consumer Storage Business, SK Hynix China Responds: Verifying Information Internally with Relevant Parties] Odaily Planet Daily News, August 24 – Consumers have discovered that the homepage of the 'SKhynix Flagship Store' has posted a notice of business termination, stating that it plans to cease operations independently on September 9, 2026. All products in the store have already been removed. As of August 25, the store can no longer be directly searched on the Taobao platform. Public information shows that this store primarily sold consumer-grade solid-state drives (SSDs) under the SK Hynix brand, and its operating entity is listed as Tianjin Hailishi Technology Co., Ltd. According to Tianyancha, this company was registered in July 2020 with a registered capital of 1 million yuan, and its business scope includes technical services and electronic product sales. Public business registration information does not currently show any equity, controlling, or direct affiliation relationship between the company and SK Hynix headquarters or its China division. SK Hynix's China division told China News Weekly that after verification, the 'SKhynix Flagship Store' is not directly operated by the company. As for the reasons behind the store closure, the operation or authorization status of other related e-commerce stores, and warranty arrangements for historical orders, SK Hynix's China division stated that it is verifying internally and with relevant parties, and currently has no further information to provide. It is worth noting that this store closure incident has once again sparked external speculation about SK Hynix scaling back its consumer storage business. In January this year, there were market rumors that SK Hynix planned to halt production of consumer-grade storage products and exit the consumer DRAM and NAND business. On January 14, an SK Hynix representative publicly denied these claims, stating that the company 'currently has no plans to discuss or plan an exit from the consumer product business.'
