Serenity: Strong Demand for Semtech Optical Communication, Orders for Fiscal Year 2028 Already Cover Over 70%

The company's management stated that in the current optical products market, "availability is more important than pricing," and pre-booked orders are not expected to be affected by price fluctuations in the short term. Semtech anticipates that its market share for 1.6T FiberEdge TIA and drivers will exceed 50% by the end of the year, with product certifications progressing faster than expected. The target orders for this fiscal year have been fully secured, and the order coverage rate for the next fiscal year has already surpassed 70%. Existing production capacity may even fall short of meeting demand for the second half of fiscal year 2028. Financially, Semtech reported second-quarter revenue of $341.9 million, exceeding the expected $329 million. Third-quarter revenue guidance is set at $410 million, significantly higher than the market expectation of approximately $360 million. Serenity commented that this financial report performance is "very impressive" and signals a positive outlook for the ramp-up of 1.6T optical modules.
