According to Bloomberg, (Binance has recruited two senior compliance executives from Crypto.com): Antonio Alvarez will serve as the deputy to Chief Compliance Officer Noah Perlman, and Duncan DeVille will take on the role of Global Head of Financial Crime Compliance. (Both individuals previously worked at Crypto.com) and bring compliance experience from institutions such as Coinbase, Visa, Western Union, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Binance stated that their joining represents a vote of confidence in its compliance program. Over the past year, several senior employees have left Binance's compliance department. Media reports have suggested that some departures were related to the exchange's handling of funds linked to Iran, which Binance has denied, stating that its compliance systems are functioning normally.
