According to Europe 1, a 47-year-old man in Jouy-en-Josas, Yvelines, France, was kidnapped in his home by three suspects in the early hours of August 24. The suspects demanded access codes to his cryptocurrency accounts, believing he held crypto assets worth approximately €6 million (around $7 million). However, reports indicate the victim's actual holdings were only around €3,000 (about $3,500). The victim managed to escape after being held for about two hours and reported the incident to the police. By the time authorities arrived, the three suspects had fled. The case is now being investigated by the Versailles BRB.
