[Xpeng Motors' Robotics Subsidiary Plans to Raise Over $900 Million, Post-Money Valuation Exceeds $6.3 Billion]
According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on August 25, Xpeng Motors (NYSE: XPEV) announced that its robotics subsidiary has signed a share purchase agreement with investors, planning to raise over $900 million, with a post-money valuation exceeding $6.3 billion. Xpeng Motors stated that this marks the largest single-round financing in the robotics field by a Chinese company to date. This round of financing is led by IDG Capital, with Tencent and Alibaba (NYSE: BABA) participating as strategic investors. Previously, Xpeng Motors unveiled its flagship humanoid robot, IRON, which is equipped with proprietary chips developed in-house by Xpeng Motors for robotics and artificial intelligence systems. Reports also indicate that Alibaba and Tencent were pre-IPO investors in the Chinese humanoid robotics company Unitree Robotics.
