Adapting is hard. When I publicly flipped bearish on Bitcoin in November 2025, I had doubts about whether or not my analysis would be effective. All sorts of questions ran through my head... "What if I'm wrong?" "What if I flip at the local lows?" "What if Bitcoin makes new ATHs after this?" "How much criticism will I get if I'm wrong?" But I had a process, trusted the analysis, and told myself that I'd adapt (quickly) if proven wrong... Thankfully, I was proven right. Unfortunately, all we have is data from the past. So we have a responsibility to rely on that data while simultaneously accepting that it isn't infallible, or just outright dismiss the data. But if the data is objective, then I think we should use it 100 times out of 100, so long as we adapt if the data changes. Right now, the data is saying that we're on the verge of entering a new bull market... but this will require a firm breakout above the 2-day 200 moving average cloud (or roughly the equivalent of the 400-day MA cloud). As someone who's been bearish on Bitcoin for nearly 10 months, I'm having doubts about adapting once again... What if I flip bullish and the market tanks? What if Bitcoin makes new lows after this? How much criticism will I get if I'm wrong? I'll just trust the data, and adapt. Embrace nuance.(Caleb Franzen)
