[Whale 'Set 10 Big Goals First': Previously Opened BTC Short Positions at $74,000–$76,000 Now Closed at a Loss]
Odaily Planet Daily News: The whale 'Set 10 Big Goals First' posted an update on X regarding the progress of its previous BTC short positions, stating that it had opened shorts in the $74,000–$76,000 range. When the price quickly surged to around $79,500, most of the positions were closed. Although some shorts were reopened near $78,000, the earlier trades resulted in approximately $10 million in realized losses.
The whale noted that although BTC briefly fell back to around $76,000 over the weekend, reducing positions at that time was still in line with its trading discipline. For the remaining positions, the original plan was to set a hard stop-loss near $80,400. However, it considered closing the positions early and accepting the losses if BTC reclaimed the $78,000–$78,500 range on the daily chart after the U.S. stock market opened.
The whale stated that even if this trade ultimately resulted in losses, it was acceptable, as it did not want to miss out on a potential $80,000–$100,000 trend in the future by trying to recover losses from a single trade. In its latest update, the whale confirmed that the remaining BTC short positions had been closed and declared, 'This trade is officially over.'
