Bitcoin is unstoppable, nearing 80K, and everyone is going crazy hunting for altcoin targets to invest in. Given the cyclical and non-linear nature of the crypto industry, a seemingly high-quality protocol needs to meet the following criteria: 1. No massive unlocks in the future; 2. The protocol can generate revenue; 3. The revenue is sustainable; 4. The project team is willing to use the revenue to buy back tokens and burn them. Based on my observations across multiple cycles, DeFi and AI are the two most promising sectors that clearly meet these standards moving forward.
