[Hedge Funds Significantly Reduced U.S. Stock Holdings Last Week, Ending Three Consecutive Weeks of Net Buying]
Odaily Planet Daily News: The Kobeissi Letter posted on X, stating that hedge funds' net selling of U.S. stocks last week reached the largest single-week level since 'Liberation Day' in April 2025, ending three consecutive weeks of net buying. Among the sales, individual stocks accounted for approximately 53% of the total, with 9 out of 11 sectors experiencing net selling, primarily concentrated in information technology, industrials, utilities, healthcare, and materials. Meanwhile, macro products such as index futures and ETFs accounted for about 47% of the total selling volume. Additionally, hedge funds slightly increased their short positions in U.S.-listed ETFs, ending six consecutive weeks of short covering, indicating that hedge funds are significantly reducing their long exposure to U.S. equities.
