I wrote a new ERC proposal, ERC-8391: an asset status interface for tokenized stocks and RWAs. Tokenized stocks trade onchain 24/7 but NYSE is open 32.5 hours a week. A contract can't tell "price is stale because it's Sunday" from "price is stale because the feed died and the company got acquired Saturday." Same bytes onchain, opposite correct actions. Halts, limit-locks, and redemption windows never show up in a price at all. This standardizes the questions a contract can ask: market phase, halts, valuation liveness, redemption windows. Oracles can feed it; the token answers. Would love to hear feedback! Especially from issuers and anyone who knows non-US market structure. https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/erc-8392-asset-status-interface-for-tokenized-assets/29489(eric)
