This round was led by IDG Capital, with Tencent and Alibaba participating as strategic investors. Early-stage investor Gaorong Capital, which previously invested in Momenta and Zhiyuan Robotics, also joined the round. The funds will be used for the development of robotics hardware and software, training and optimization of physical AI models, high-quality data collection, construction of end-to-end mass production facilities, and global expansion. Xpeng aims to achieve a monthly production capacity of 1,000 units for its IRON humanoid robot by the end of this year, with initial deployments in its own retail stores and industrial parks. Starting in 2027, the company plans to launch commercial sales and deliveries in both domestic and international markets. CEO He Xiaopeng announced in June that he would personally lead the robotics business, pushing the development of humanoid robots toward mass production.
