Coincidentally, I have been preparing recently, so I have done some calculations.
The main GPU is RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q 96GB X 4
The Max-Q version is mainly used due to its power consumption of 300 watts, while the standard RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition is 600W. Although the peak performance of Max-Q may be slightly lower, the official data is 3511 AI TOPS compared to 4000 AI TOPS, which is about 12% less, both have 96GB GDDR7 ECC VRAM and 1792GB/s VRAM bandwidth. For AI video generation, the most important thing is VRAM capacity.
And once four GPUs are used, the power consumption difference becomes very significant. The full load of 4 Max-Q cards is 1200W, and the theoretical power consumption of 4 standard version single GPU cards adds up to 2400W. This means that the standard version is difficult to operate in the same way as a regular workstation for a long time. The former can still be used for home office work.
For AI web dramas, I personally value parallel production capacity more. A series may end up with hundreds of shots, and instead of having a 600W card generate one shot faster, it's definitely better to have four 96GB GPUs that can run four different shots at the same time. One is responsible for official shots, one is for redoing failed shots, one is for running tasks related to characters or scenes, and one is for continuing to process the next batch of shots. The machine can maintain a task queue throughout the day.
This machine ultimately has 4 x 96GB of physical video memory resources, totaling 384GB.
Of course, for beginners, there is no need to load all 4 GPUs immediately. Therefore, my own idea is to first buy the workstation (host) according to the final 4-card specification, and initially only install 1 to 2 RTX PRO 6000 Max-Q cards. After the labor is proficient and can run the generation queue to capacity, gradually increase to 3 or 4 cards.
If we ultimately achieve 4 x RTX PRO 6000 Max-Q 96GB, I estimate that the hardware investment for the entire high-end workstation would be around 130000 to 150000 SGD, which is approximately 700000 to 800000 RMB.
The biggest investment among them is GPU, and now the public price for an RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q 96GB in Singapore is approximately SGD 24550. GPU alone is already approaching 100000 Singapore dollars.
Also, regarding the software part, I will roughly list it as follows:
1. Core generation platform: ComfyUI
2. Static image stage: Qwen Image series
3. Video Core: Wan 2.2
4. Character consistency and control tools: LoRA, ControlNet/OpenPose, and IPAdapter/Reference workflows.
5. Post production software: DaVinci Resolve
6. Sound section: TTS/AI dubbing or Character Voice Bible
I have started trying to do simple content now. Of course, it's mainly done by AI, and I'm responsible for making soy sauce.
